Posted Position Title: Graduate Management Program - GAP Fellowship Career Level: EL Function: Legal Function Segment: Compliance and Regulatory Location: Algeria U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: City: Algiers Postal Code: 16048 Relocation Assistance: No Role Summary/Purpose: General Electrics Global Government Affairs & Policy group is seeking qualified candidates for a R. Michael Gadbaw International Law & Policy Fellowship program. GGA&P oversees GEs engagement on public policy issues with governments around the world, and works to expand the companys presence in global markets. Our fellows are involved in many aspects of our operations. Essential Responsibilities: - Research current regional policy issues in energy, transportation, healthcare, government procurement, rule of law, international trade, etc. - Attend MENAT-area briefings and meetings relevant to GE. - Conduct research and analysis; create and edit presentations, memoranda and briefing materials for the policy team and other GE executives. - Track GE transactions and policy issues on which the Government Affairs and Policy (GA&P) team is providing support - Support delegation visits and high-level corporate meetings. Qualifications/Requirements: - Graduate degree or law degree required - Ability to work overtime as needed - Must be fluent in French & English - in addition to Arabic - Must be available for 1 year, full time (40 hours/week) commitment - We will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in Algeria for the entire one year of the fellowship, which is not to be extended.
