Graduation is right around the corner, and some thoughts that have - TopicsExpress

Graduation is right around the corner, and some thoughts that have come through my mind that make me realize what a impatient person I am. But, its okay, it is okay to be impatient in life from time to time when uncertainty strikes and leaves you a waiting period that just drives you absolutely crazy! College is absolutely the best choice that I, well actually my mother, has ever made for me. It is not only the education that I received from classrooms that have changed my perspectives on everything in life, but also the wonderful people that I have come across, the priceless friendships that we have created and the more polished me that I have become! I dont know where to begin and how to my gratitude to everyone that I have met here that helped me learn and grow. Some of us might apart in the summer to go on our separate journeys in our home countries... Just remember, where ever we end up going, our hearts will always be connected and our passion for life will always be shared and felt. I will return to my hometown for a visit in this summer. It has been two years since my last visit. Almost 5 years of studying away from home has brought me up to be a different person than my peers in my hometown. To be honest, more than excitement, I feel the need to re-adjust into the environment which I grew up in. Hehe, is this the same kind of feeling that I felt right before coming to the U.S.? Its interesting to see how flexible we humans can be. Our sense of belonging to a certain identity which we thought would never change can appear and disappear over time... Anyway, I hope that this trip is going to be a journey of self-reflection. I hope to learn more about myself, my life and my culture from a new perspective. I hope to see the positive changes and realize the needs of the people from that side of the world. I know that some of you must be going through some similar feelings at the moment... :) I want to write down one of my favorite quotes to cheer for the hopeful future... “Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.” ― Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky
