Graham and I were visiting the special needs class at Independence Elementary in Lewisville this morning. There were lots of kids and it was a little overwhelming for us but we kept calm and enjoyed the attention. There was a very quiet boy that was taking a bit to warm up to the idea of petting a dog. He would eventually plop down next to Graham and pet him with (with his hands AND feet) then he would jump up and run off. Each time he came by I would tell him to give Graham a hug because he loves hugs. So he repeated this little process every time. Plop down, hands on his back, feet on his back, hug him and run away. This went on for about 30minutes and then he walked by and wrapped his arms around my neck and squeezed tight. Totally the best hug I have had in a long time!
