Grammar lesson - one of my pet peeves - THAN - used after some adverbs and adjectives expressing choice or diversity, such as other, otherwise, else, anywhere, or different, to introduce an alternative or denote a difference in kind, place, style, identity THEN - used as an adjective or noun for being; being such; existing or being at the time indicated Correct examples: 1) My lawn is greener THAN my neighbors lawn - used in a comparative role 2) First I ate the potato, and THEN I ate the steak - a timely usage Okay, so its not rocket science and there are times I am wrong, but its a small thing to just think when writing or speaking. For those of us who try to use correct grammar, reading sentences like I like red more then green is painful.
