Grand Independent Film Company have agreed a contract with Richard Pekar to make a film from his book The Last Train to Budapest - The book can be found & purchased on the website lulu and a synopsis of this book can be seen in film trailer format on our FB page The The Hungarian Community Association of Staffordshire - The story thoroughly narrates the life of a Hungarian boy/man who lives in a humble village in a remote area of Hungary. Taught by his parents to love his country and to fight for freedom Nandor Pekar played an integral part in the Hungarian Revolution and eventually forced to escape his homeland in a true patriotic fashion. The story shows his full life in Hungary post 2nd world war time building towards 1956; his feelings and events during those times and his respect for the people he left behind The Iron Curtain. The owners of Grand Independent Mr. Peter Rudge & Mr. James Fair are making this film and really want to engage the Hungarian community from all of the UK & USA to take part. Please contact the Hungarian Community Association of Staffordshire or Grand Independent to find out more & how to be involved in the making of this film.
