Grand Jury Still Meets Monday; Jurors Use Discretion Paris, Tenn.- The March 2014 term of the Henry County Grand Jury scheduled for Monday, March 3, 2014 will still meet and jurors are encouraged to attend, however Judge Donald Parish has issued the following statement: “Jurors should travel at their own discretion and use their own personal judgment as to the safety to do so. There will be no penalty if you are absent due to inclement weather. All jurors who do not attend on Monday should call the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office on Wednesday, March 5th after 5:30 p.m. to hear a recording that will explain what action to take next. There is still be a need for jurors to attend tomorrow, Monday, and those who can make it safely, the court asks that you do with caution and arrive by 8:30 a.m. Again, travel at your own discretion and judgment of personal safety but if you are able to attend, please do so by 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, Monday, March 3. You do not have to call the Clerks office if you are absent due to weather but please do call back after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5th to hear what action to take next.
