Grants & Special Projects Administrator Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley - Wheeling, WV Under the direction of the Executive Director, the position of Grants and Special Projects Administrator will be a full time position for the support and administration of special (incoming) grant programs of the CFOV and (outgoing) grants from the organization. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with the coordination of special projects of the CFOV including re-granting programs, outreach and education programs, and special events. Assist with the marketing of outreach and education programs, special events, and re-grant programs. Assist with arrangements for education and outreach programs for special projects including site set up, clean up, attendee RSVPs, etc. Responsible for receiving grant applications for special projects and the CFOV Community Impact Grants, Women’s Giving Circle Grants, Special County-Designated Grant Programs, and any additional grant programs by reviewing grant applications for completeness, making appropriate copies, and distributing them to grant review team. Coordinate the notification of grant applicants of their approval or denial. Working with potential grant applicants on their proposals by answering questions by phone or email. Mail grant contracts to grantees. Insure that grant contracts are received before grant checks are awarded. Site visits to grantees as needed. Follow up on grant reports back to the CFOV with deadlines. Prepare reports to supplement CFOV’s grant requirements for special projects. Work with identified grants (on direction of Executive Director) from donor-advised funds to ensure funds are properly accounted for from the grantee. Create and distribute a standard grant report form for identified grants. Work with the Women’s Giving Circle Grants Team. Travel throughout the CFOV’s 8-county service area as needed. Use data provided by grantees to generate reports on community issues. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The ideal candidate for the Grants Administrator position will be highly organized, able to work with a variety of personalities, and possess good communication skills. He or she must be able to use a computer for email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media, and other basic programs. Experience and/or knowledge of grantwriting and/or grant administration will also be expected. Event planning experience is also desired. Ideal candidate will be a team-player willing to assist other staff with their workload during busy times for the betterment of the organization.
