Grateful for a kind e-mail from the parent of a former student who just graduated high school last month. A colleague and I are invited to his college send-off party next month - going to NJIT on a generous baseball scholarship. She told me he talks about 5th grade often and remembers all the fun and work we did together. With all of the years between, and all of the life things that happen and change - she reached out and included us. Its the kind of thing that keeps me in the profession.
