Grateful this video was shared with me this morning. It touches on women seeking approval, praise, and avoiding criticism. For years, I sought approval and praise from bosses, family, friends, etc. in all areas of my life. I also avoided criticism from everyone, which led me to play small in my life; hide in a corner so that I could remain safe, away from any harsh judgment. I didnt want to risk receiving feedback that would hurt my ego. What ended up manifesting was a false life--one that I didnt even know wasnt truly mine... Until I let go of the need to seek approval and praise from everyone around me. Until I let go of everything that wasnt truly aligned with my hearts desires and dreams. Until I let go of the belief that feedback reflects who I am and embraced it as information that says absolutely nothing about me. Where in your life may you be seeking approval or praise?
