Gratitude Attitude Day 16: I can never go into a thrift store without thinking about Mama. Mama seriously LOVED to go shopping in the thrift stores. I swear she could start the moment the first one opened its door and shop till the last one closed its door (and shed know which one was first, which was last and which was the best place to shop for what) and then shed be ready to go look on the sale rack at Wal-Mart. And at the end of the day shed come out with half a dozen full outfits, for less than $100 that looked like shed been shopping Armani for weeks. Seriously! That gene skipped me. I am NOT a shopper...Im more of a I want to know what I want, where to get it in what size, grab it off the rack and go kind of girl...but I loved shopping with Mama because it was so much fun to watch her do her thing...and knowing my impatience in shopping, shed look for me too. I even miss shopping with her. Today, I went shopping with a couple of girlfriends and the husband of one of them (the man has the patience of a saint with that sort of thing)....and one of my girlfriends reminded me so much of watching Mama shop that I truly enjoyed something Ive been dreading for weeks...and the other completely understands my find it, pay for it and get out mentality. It was a fun day! Thank you Father for today...the memories, the company, and the fun! I might not look like Armani, but Ill look darn good! And at a price I can afford....
