Grave marker dedication at Arms Cemetery, Henderson County, Texas for Pvt. William M. Grayson, who served in Major Howdy Martins Brigade during the War of Northern Aggression. Thanks to the Howdy Martin Camp of Athens, the Black Rose Ladies of the Martin Camp and the members of John H. Reagan Camp who manned the cannon. The concussion on the first volley brought down an old tree in the adjoining pasture. Awesome. Just. Awesome. BTW... if you have never had your innards shaken by Confederate re-enactors cannon fire you are missing an item on your bucket list. Only thing more awesome of similar nature I have seen/felt was the liftoff of the Apollo 17 Saturn V rocket when I was a kid. That was Beyond Awesome.
