Gravesend Rowing Club had a busy August, as we entered two of our biggest regattas of the year. Sudbury International Regatta was the first of the two, and it proved a successful trip as our Novice Ladies Coxed 4 won their first regatta to move up to IM3+. Matthew and Christopher Johnson also found success there, posting victories in their Elite and IM3 classes respectively. Next up was Lea Autumn Regatta which proved to be an even bigger success! Our IM3 Mens Coxed 4 posted the fastest time of the day with 2:03, and convincingly won their races. The now IM3 Ladies Crew had evidently rather liked winning at Sudbury, and they posted another victory here. There were also victories for our IM2 double, and Sandy Johnson in her Masters Single. Congratulations to everyone who took part, and especially to those who won! The Club is running a new Learn to Row course in early October - if you would like to get involved or just see what the Club is all about, do not hesitate to get in touch by either messaging this page or giving us a call on 01474 352636.
