Gray and gloomy day at the beach today. Decided to cruise the loop by going up the mainland side and down the peninsula. As you turn east onto the road at the northern end of the loop it looks for all the world that you are about to enter the Dead Marshes just outside of Mordor. There is a clearing before the first bridge that today was populated by Egrets and Storks. About 200 of them. Bad phone camera and reeds made a panoramic view impossible, but was really wonderful to see and there were many folk there enjoying the gathering. The other picture is what is simply known as “The Palm Tree” just east of Cobbs Corner on the way to High Bridge. Which, by the way, is not high.
