Great Slam tonight! One of, if not the best yet. Our dear friend Claudia Alick came, she saw what was happenin and she conquered the scene. Awesome, awesome stuff from Claudia consistently; a true matriarch of Slam Poetry in Ashland. Really! Gene Burnett placed 2nd and Mosaic took third. There were 12 competitors and 6 of em took home cash and/or gift certificates to local businesses. Ill get deeper into it tomorrow, (later today), but I wanna thank our sponsors: First and farly (by far), foremost is Northwest Pizza and Pasta Company for their support for our Slam. You guys are the perfect venue. Great room and stage, great personnel Morgan, Robin, Cole, and Derrick worked the shift and took good care of us.
