Great Spark! I have a good one for you ... Yesterday, I had jury duty, got dismissed quite early. (Yay!) Since I had skipped breakfast, I stopped to get some at a fast food place. There was a woman on the street that made a bee-line for my car. My knee-jerk reaction was oh, no, shes gonna ask for money, I only have enough for my food. So I fumbled around in my car for a few moments, hoping shed move along. She didnt. I got out of my car and she asked for spare change. I told her I didnt have any, and started towards the building. Then my conscience thumped me hard and I turned around and told her, but Ill buy you something to eat, come with me. I put it on my debit card, got both of us some food, and I gave her the cash in my wallet ($5) and told her to get something cold to drink later.. It doesnt end there. Today, Im shopping, I leave the store with my bags and I put them in my car, and I left my wallet and cell phone in the shopping cart. I didnt even realize it until I got out of my car in my driveway 30 minuets later, and Im thinking what did I do with my wallet? I get inside the house and my husband says some lady called, shes got your wallet and phone, call her back. So I did, call her, and I went to her home, met her, gave her some home made jellys that a friend of mine makes for her business, and we hit it off immediately. She is a teacher in an obscure area that I was looking for guidance in! And we had so much in common. Needless to say, Im going to take her to lunch one day soon to thank her again for being honest.
