Great Spirit, Almighty Healer and Creator of all things, it is with humbled hearts that we gather together to offer up many thanks. We thank you for the rising of Grandfather Sun each morning. We thank you for the music of the fliers when they sing while greeting the dawn. We thank you for the early morning dew that drips from the many herbs and plants. We thank you for the gentle breezes as they flow through the trees giving us a sense of serenity and the calming of our spirit. We thank you for the rushing waters that flow from the mountaintops to the valleys and oceans below. We thank you for the streams and rivers teaming with life. We thank you for our many relations that continue to give us lessons that we take with us along our journey. We thank you for all two-leggeds, four-leggeds, swimmers, fliers and crawlers as they communicate with us each day. We thank you for our Elders as they continue to pass on life lessons and wisdom that strengthen us. May we endeavor to hold them with the greatest respect. We thank you for our children that will pass on our lessons and the wisdom of the ancestors onto the next generation. We thank you for our trials that serve to strengthen our spirit. We thank you for your patience, love, forgiveness and for the answering of prayers. We thank you for Father Sky that serves to protect us throughout the day. We thank you for Mother Earth that provides us with nutrition, hydration and cures. We thank you for the many gifts and blessings you have given to us. We thank you for the precious gift of life. We thank you for Grandmother Moon as she watches over us during our slumber. We thank you for the music of the crawlers and fliers during the evening hours. We thank you for the rain forests that give us the air to breathe. We thank you for the wisdom found in nature. We thank you for the winds that flow through the grassy plains; the snow that blankets the mountains; the warmth of the painted deserts. We thank you for the rains that have come to provide Mother Earth with the water needed to provide growth and rejuvenation. We thank you for the soaring of eagles as they rise above the storms giving us a reminder of how we should live our lives. Emenv
