Great Spirit, Almighty Healer and Creator of all things seen and unseen, it is with humbled hearts that we gather together, united as one, to offer up many thanks. We thank you for the blessing given upon the rising of Grandfather Sun each morning, as he provides us with warmth and light during the day. We thank you for the coolness of the early morning hours, along with the mists that float from the mountains to the valleys below. We thank you for the songs of the wren, morning dove and sparrow as we awaken from our sleep. We thank you for the rains that arrive in the clouds, from the oceans, to give water to the plants. We thank you for the gift of life found throughout your creation. We ask for great and miraculous healing for those that are suffering through diverse diseases and disorders. We ask for the dark spirits to depart from those that have awakened and have chosen to walk the paths you have laid before them. We ask for mercy for those that have not found their way to your presence. We ask for comfort for those that are grieving; courage for those that are afraid; strength for the weak; and justice for the righteous. We ask for strength, guidance and courage be granted to those that are standing against injustice, persecution and defending the defenseless. We ask for protection for all two-leggeds, four-leggeds, swimmers, fliers and crawlers that are facing grave danger. We ask for the release of all of your children wrongfully convicted of crimes and allow them to return home to their loved ones. We ask for an end to the needless wars and skirmishes that plague us. We ask instead for an era of peace, tranquility and equality. We ask for guidance when we tend to stray; discipline when it is warranted; and comfort when we are in need. We ask for compassion to once again enter and remain in the hearts of those that would normally look away from those in need. We thank you for all answered prayers. We thank you for our Elders that bring us lifes lessons and wisdom of the ancestors. We thank you for our children that will build upon the foundation we have placed before them. We thank you for our family and friends, and those that may come to us for a short time to bring support and insight. We thank you for the uniqueness of our paths and the sacredness of all things. We thank you for our trials that serve to strengthen us while we continue to learn the lessons you provide. We thank you for our thorns that keep us from becoming boastful. Emenv
