Great Suggestion! Do you know what to do if you FIND a pet? 1. Dont just assume the animal has been dumped. Many pets are missing for months on end, and may appear neglected but are really beloved pets that someone is desperately searching for. Dont just decide to keep the pet! 2. Dont try to rehome a found pet! We hold all stray pets for seven days, many people still dont know where or how to look for their pet! 3. Do report the animal as found to area law enforcement, animal control and animal shelters if you intend on holding on to the pet until the owner is found. 4. Do have the pet scanned for a microchipped. 5. Do post flyers and advertise the found pet on the many online pet pages. 6. Do take the pet to the shelter that is contracted for your area if you are not able to keep the pet. 7.
