Great afternoon for a bike ride! Rode down Hwy 5 South to Salesville, then across the dam to Pineville, Calico Rock, back to Norfork, and 201 back to Mountain Home. Just before we crossed Moccasin Creek in Izard County, we saw hundreds of daffodls! We found out from the owner, Dean Hudson, that the old homeplace was established about 1910, and when the old house and grounds were bulldozed, it scattered the daffodil bulbs all across the property. The old cistern still stands among the hundreds of blooms. It was a spectacular sight!
