Great and Mighty is our God. Marinate in those words. Allow your spirit to reflect on that statement. The word great is defined as; of much more than ordinary size, extent, volume, larger than others, MUCH Higher in some quality or degree, OF MOST IMPORTANCE, remarkably large. Our God is all of those meanings and then some. The word mighty means; having might, power, remarkably large. Great and mighty is our God. Our God is much more than ordinary, Our God is larger than anything HE created, He much Higher than all, and He is of most importance. Might, who else besides Him possesses the power to raise the dead? Who can compare to our loving Father who reigns above all? The powerful, magnificent, awesome God! The God that makes the crooked straight, and breathes life into the dead. . There is nothing, nor nobody greater than Him. Acknowledge the emptiness that engulfed you before you accepted Christ. We need to remember how God parted some seas in our lives. We need to keep in the forefront of our minds, the goodness and mercy that He showered down upon us. Look back over all that we have been through, how can we deny the truth that God pulled us through. The strongholds that held us bound, restricted by chains of addiction, malice, lust, greed pride, just to name a few. Oh, how great and mighty is our God? When God stepped in, Oh how God stepped in and turned things around. He lifted us up out of the dirt of sin, and washed us, in the Blood of His precious son Jesus, the Christ. He’s renewing our minds, cleansing us from unrighteousness, planting inside of us the desire to please Him. Where we were once bound and restricted we experience rest and freedom. Only He can provide that. The broken hearts have been healed, the sick are healed, the blinded can now see, and us who were lame in thought now have sound minds. That’s why we can lift our hands and our hearts to the One True God and sing, “Great and Mighty is our God” with confidence, knowing beyond a showdown of a doubt, the truth of that statement!!
