Great educational nature walk put on by the Bethesda Chevy Chase Chapter for 4 different groups of 9th graders from the Global Ecology Program at nearby Poolesville High. Students learned about shale and cactus in Maryland, the importance of soil and how it forms, wildlife traits and needs, trash, and much more. Kudos to Poolesville for having such a program, kudos to the Bethesda chapter for using their grounds and volunteers to support it.
