Great meetings these past few weeks with our friends at Tiarc Aztiarc and Central City Assembly about creating after school program for new Americans from Congo, Senegal and other places. We are looking at Weds 3-5pm, TAB youth leaders would help teach and be assistants, then we will fund the program with car-washes & bake sales to get us started. Youth will sell their work as well, but keep all proceeds as part of our Workforce Development program. There is a ton if creativity, passion and kindness in the refugee community, but they have been taken advantage of by many who know better, so we are building trust, communication and relations with food and art. Trainings are being set up so people can start to report cultural rights violations and then report them back to the public at large. #CulturalEquityNow
