Great news! “The Donate Life PA Act” (Senate Bill 850/ House Bill 30) was reported out of the Senate Judiciary Committee today after a unanimous vote and now moves to the full State Senate. The bill, sponsored by Sen. Stewart Greenleaf (R-Montgomery) in the State Senate and Rep. Joseph Petrarca (D-Westmoreland) in the State House, includes provisions to educate students in medical and nursing schools, high schools and colleges to create more awareness about organ donation, reinforces that organ transplantation is a priority over other uses of organs, and reduces the likelihood that organ donations will be denied over the express wishes of a donor or donor’s family. savealifenowpa.org/donate-life-pa-act-one-step-closer-to-passage/
