Great news for Obamacare people who cant meet the deadline: if you have started the application, you can call Catherine Peck at the Bakersville Clinic for help after March 31st. But they will need to act fast---and you will need to have started the application and been stopped by a technical issue---as explained below. HHS has officially granted a special enrollment period for consumers who try to enroll prior to March 31st but are unable to complete enrollment. Consumers who are stuck in the process or otherwise unable to complete enrollment before Monday will need to contact the Call Center to request a special enrollment period or go to their healthcare.gov account and check a new box (that will appear on midnight April 1st EDT) indicating they tried to complete enrollment before March 31st. All paper applications received by April 7th will be processed and those consumers will be able to complete enrollment as well. This fact sheet from HHS provides additional information.
