Great news from America! The state of Illinois has passed the first microbead ban in the world! New York, Ohio, & California all have anti-microbead legislation in the works. In the UK some retailers like M&S & Boots have pledged to stop using microbeads in own brand products, whilst Proctor & Gamble & Unilever say products manufactured after 2017 & 2015 respectively wont contain plastic microbeads.
