Great news from the #Sampson_Flat #Bushfire grounds - the fire has now been dropped to the lowest threat level message: A Bushfire Advice level The CFS is currently monitoring a fire at Sampson Flat in the Mount Lofty Ranges near One Tree Hill, Humbug Scrub, Para Wirra Recreation Park, Mount Crawford, Kersbrook, Gumeracha, Kenton Valley, Cudlee Creek and Inglewood. The SAMPSON FLAT fire has numerous hot spots with the potential to ignite unburnt ground within the perimeter of the fire in the following areas: Humbug Scrub Road in the vicinity of Para Wirra Recreation Park and Cudlee Creek Road Cudlee Creek to the intersection ODea Road. Although rain has fallen on the parts of the fireground there is still the potential for hotpots to reignite. Fire resources and support agencies continue to work in these areas. Whilst some roads have been opened to residents, the public must remain vigilant for potential or existing hazards. Although this fire does not pose a threat to life or property at this time, people in the area are advised to check and follow their Bushfire Survival Plan, monitor local conditions and listen for further updates on this radio station using a battery powered radio.
