Great news, we was at the NAC Amyloidosis centre this week. Cheryl - TopicsExpress

Great news, we was at the NAC Amyloidosis centre this week. Cheryl is still stable, and no sign of more amyloid on her organs, her light chains have gone up slightly but that could be due to the infections she has been getting lately. All we can do know is hope that the new drug will still show signs of working which in some cases can reduce and remove amyloid and help with the function of organs, hopefully Cheryl will be able to go on the list sometime in the future. On a different note we had the pleasure of being asked to meet Professor Sir Mark Pepys,(he is the leading consultant into amyloidosis and has been involved in the last 40 years) who thanked us both for the remarkable amount of money which has been sent through to help out with research. I mentioned that the support that we have had from all that have supported me in the charity events has been overwhelming, so I am passing the thanks back from Sir Mark too you all. Thanks for your support, with out people like you we couldnt have got this far into help finding a cure, I am sure that I talk for the those also past and present.
