Great news – 10,013 of us have already chipped in to our special fund to fight the powerful anti-gay lobby. Together, these small donations are making it possible for our 2 million strong movement to do more, every day. Heres a taste of what weve achieved together in the last few months: June 2014 – Together with SOMOSGAY, we successfully pushed Paraguay to support a key vote at the Organization of American States to protect lesbian, gay, bi and trans people from violence and discrimination. June 2014 – We channeled public outrage against the Australian Government funding chaplains from anti-gay organisations, instead of trained counselors, into schools. During this charged national debate, the High Court finally ruled that the Government is not allowed to fund the dangerous program at all – a crucial first step to ending the program. May 2014 – 69,953 of us spoke out and infamous anti-gay pastor, Lou Engle, canceled an appearance in Switzerland to raise support for his global work. May 2014 – Together, we reached over 4 million people with a single message about love, equality and getting rid of anti-gay laws – by sharing the pink 77 image on Facebook. April 2014 – 239,475 of us petitioned the UK Home Office Secretary Theresa May to stop deporting LGBT asylum seekers. Following All Out members outcry and the hard work of several asylum seekers, the Home Office agreed to meet with asylum seekers including Aderonke who had escaped Nigeria. April 2014 – To make sure a country with extreme anti-gay laws never hosts the Olympics again, we sent 43,233 submissions directly to the Olympic Committee, and delivered a petition of 74,738 more signatures. The Olympic Committee is now looking into a special anti-discrimination clause so countries bidding for the Olympics must uphold the rights of their LGBT citizens and visiting athletes and spectators. April 2014 – We pushed the French Ministry of Education to launch a national campaign to fight against homophobia and suicides in schools, defeating anti-equality groups who were holding the program back. Together, we all make All Out. Every signature on a petition, every Facebook share, tweets and Tumblr posts – were building a movement together. From over 190 countries around the world, with countless partners and allies, were starting to really show what millions can do for love and equality. Thank you for going All Out, The All Out team P.S. There’s still a chance to chip in and super-charge all of our voices for love and equality.
