Great piece that rips the 2 state solution fairy tale to shreds. The only way forward is a democratic state comprised of Palestinians (Muslim, Christian, and Secular), and Israelis (Jewish, Secular, and all other minorities). The status-quo which is apartheid law by definition is only sustainable via continued oppression and subjugation of the Palestinian people, in the name of an exclusively Jewish state. It is high time for an Israel/Palestine that is not exclusively owned/controlled by any one ethnic or religious group, but instead is predicated on the fundamental notion that all those living in Israel/Palestine are equal before the law, and that there is no hierarchy privileging some, at the expense of others. Will this immediately foster some Utopian state, hardly, but the alternative is to keep down a road that has been proven time after time not to work. This will be a hard process, but we must get real and realize the way forward is in guaranteed civil and political rights to all citizens, so that no one people has a monopoly over power as currently exists! nytimes/2013/09/15/opinion/sunday/two-state-illusion.html?pagewanted=all&_r=2&
