Great question you posted, Maikwe Ludwig: asking everyone what they would give a TED talk on. My answer: I would give a practical outline for launching a social movement for voluntary reduction of energy use -- a grassroots effort to reduce personal energy consumption by 90 percent of the US average, and encourage so many others to do the same, that it adds up to no more demand for new pipelines, oil wells, etc. It would eliminate the incentive to create those additional fossil (or nuclear) infrastructure, so that protests would become unnecessary!
