Great quote. I think false critical judgment is a significant fall - TopicsExpress

Great quote. I think false critical judgment is a significant fall to people’s self esteem: For example, in school you have some bully come up to a shy quiet vulnerable kid and tells them that they are no good, stupid, ugly, and that they suck. All those judgments or negative situations over your most vulnerable early years, you internalize it to think that you are no good. Or parents that mistakenly judge their child for doing poorly in a subject, and fail to acknowledge what he/she did well in which sends the wrong message to the child that effort doesn’t matter, and now the kid correlates not meeting perfection (or expectation) with never being good enough despite the honest effort. However, it is all not true. Like the quote insinuates, everyone is intelligent. You can always continue to accomplish, learn, overcome, achieve, develop skills, and improve anytime regardless of where you are at in life. That is the inner genius within, and that ability is always there for everyone.
