Great short stay in the heart of Senggigi - anika-grace (Tripadvisor, May 2014) I was lucky enough to grab some (very) cheap flights from Perth to Lombok for a 3 night stay over the weekend just gone. Seeing as the flights were so cheap I wanted to stick with the cheap holiday mindset and did a bit of research for properties in Senggigi less than $80 per night. I read all the reviews for Kebun Villas and booked 3 nights in a Dahlia double. My stay was very pleasant, with only a few minor complaints but nothing that would deter me from recommending it or staying there again if I was on a budget : ) Ill start with the small cons: -I was charged approx $68 AUD for the one-way pick up transfer from the airport to the hotel which I thought was quite pricey, although I knew it was a good hour and a half to get there. We decided to go with a taxi on the way back which cost us approx $15 AUD.... cant quite figure out why they add on an extra $50. -The air con in the room was incredibly loud which made it very hard to get to sleep at night. - The bathroom flooded (was expecting this due to other reviews on here) but you would think they would have done something about it by now. -The breakfast was very basic with only 5 choices (3 asian and 2 western options) although there is an egg station. Now for the Pros! - Staff were absolutely fantastic, very friendly and helpful! -The room was very clean and quite big and the bed is comfy. -The infinity pool is amazing and we definitely spent the most of our time there! It overlooks the beautiful hills and forest. -The location is right in the middle of all the restaurants so a great location to get to wherever you want to be! Overall, we had a great stay at Kebun Villas & Resort and I would like to thank Bianca for all her help with answering my emails and questions! This resort is such great value for the price you pay and I would have no doubt that this would be regarded a 4* hotel if those few minor hiccups are fixed. Thanks Kebun : )
