Great to see Roomers magazine being written up in The Age over the weekend! Roomers- a quarterly writing anthology written mostly by people who are living or have lived in rooming houses- is an outlet for those people to share their stories, thoughts and experiences. It also gives those of us who havent set foot in a rooming house, an insight into the often volatile, sometimes very grim reality of living with unknown visitors, shared facilities, often substandard buildings and insecure tenure. Pick up the latest copy from the PPCG office at 161 Chapel St, St Kilda- or better still become a subscriber by writing to PO Box 57, Elwood 3184 or email [email protected]. Open writing workshops are held every Tuesday at the St Kilda library from 1:30 - 3:30.
