Great turn out today for the first Meet and Greet. Really nice to put faces to names. Many thanks to those who came. And a huge THANK YOU to Dave Gledhill for a fascinating and informed talk on Life behind the wire at RAF Coningsby enjoyed by all, Gemma Holland and Bethany Holland, for doing the raffle, Wayne Brickles and his helpers for car park organisation. Spencer Trickett AKA Skytoons for bringing along his amazing art work, Lesley and Dave Blissett AKA Lightning Logistics Not very often you meet a lady who owns three planes!!! Mark Kerton with his amazing VeRA prints Debbie Darby for the amazing cake, Andy Ward for his fantastic model planes, and Steve Jollands for bringing his beauty out for a spin And my gopher Simon Jakubowski who was brilliant today, even though he has whinged and whined all week about cake and believe it or not won the cake in the raffle, drawn by Spencer Trickets lovely dad, in case you thought it was a fix lol Also the volunteers at Thorpe Camp who do an amazing job and made us most welcome. Last but not least Lee Blake, AKA The Boss, who in my opinion runs one of the best aviation enthusiasts pages on face book, and without whos suggestion of a get together this would never have happened. Im sure there will be lots of photos of the day appearing soon, Arthur was on camera overdrive. Thanks Guys xxx
