Great visit with the cardiologist today. 18 months ago he did a heart catherization which showed 2 arteries totally blocked and another 70 percent blocked. Since I could have not survived bypass surgery having him insert stents was the only option. He restored normal blood flow to one artery. 2 weeks later he came into my room at 9:00 pm and talked with all of us about the cancer diagnosis. When he left an hour later we were all reassured that the lymphoma was treatable and curable. He was my greatest advocate in dealing with other physicians and often overrode there judgement and persuaded them he was right. Today he said no further surgery is necessary. Yes!!! Then he went into the waiting room to greet Fran and the three grandchildren we took with us. I cant imagine another doctor doing that. He has our total trust and gratitude.
