Great weekend at Philip Island for the Moto GP. Perfect weather right through to the conclusion of the big race then a few drops of rain. It was a privilege to be part of Sloan Frosts effort in the Superbikes and to check into his pits from time to time over the weekend. His effort needs to be acknowledged. In race two he was up to 7th and seemed very comfortable when he was crashed out. Thats on a superstock bike running against some very developed Aussie superbikes, against local riders who know the track intimately. Then having crashed he picked the bike up and still brought it home in 12th. Obviously weary after a long weekend he rode a hard and controlled final race on Sunday and impressed a lot of the locals. For an overall effort with luck running against him from the first event of the Aussie season Choppa deserves top marks. I know hes looking to encourage and support other Kiwis to get over there for the experience next year. Get in behind him and lets see it happen.
