Greece - Archaeological Museum of Isthmia: A wooden door from the roman period, found at the site dubbed as “The temple of Isis”. This door definitely stands out for me because of its outstanding resemblance with wooden doors found on houses at modern day greek islands. There are some very strict regulations about renovations and building in islands, all focused on preserving traditional architecture. Most of the houses there are pretty old- not ancient, but old- and a few of the oldest, non-renovated ones actually feature similarly styled doors, something that really gives a glimpse to how the evolution of the common household in the greek landscape was like.
