Greece is a country with a long tradition of hospitality and amazing cuisine, yet many visitors choose to stay at all-inclusive resorts where they are not only served by non-Greeks, but their "Greek foods" are imported from elsewhere. Many of these resort employees originate from East Europe and sadly are paid very little (or nothing) to work. They are also uninsured and receive only food and basic accomodations. It is hard to imagine that anyone who is paid so poorly would provide you with the best service. Those who visit Greece often speak about the wonderful Greek foods that they eat while they are here. Yet, often the feta served is from Bulgaria or even not from milk!!! Meat from Holland as local. Is this the "Greek Experience" that visitors truly want? Is this the Greece that they have come to know, love and expect? Of course not
