Greetings ALL SDSU SMD students! The FIRST-EVER Conducting Area - TopicsExpress

Greetings ALL SDSU SMD students! The FIRST-EVER Conducting Area will be held tomorrow from 4:30-5:30pm in Room 233. Whether we have 2 folks or 30 folks, the grads will take whomever is there through a piece by Stephen Paulus called Hymn to the Eternal Flame. This is a link to the Westminster Chapel Choir (all Freshmen in college) performing live in the Princeton University Chapel last year, conducted by my colleague, Dr. Amanda Quist. https://youtube/watch?v=NQjH1DqsXEo This happens to be the centerpiece, a cappella chorale-like movement in the larger work To Be Certain of the Dawn which SDSU will perform with the SDSUSO for our Spring 2015 major work. This work remembers the 50th anniversary of the Holocaust. ANYONE is invited to attend. The ability to read music is required. A positive and inquisitive outlook is also helpful. ;-) CONDUCTING STUDIO - FYI - (Fridays from 3:30-5:30pm, Room 233) For graduate Conducting students. Interested undergrads are welcome to observe and may eventually receive some coaching.
