Greetings Brooklynites! HSOBI needs your support in collecting YOUR FAMILY HISTORY. University of Illinois volunteers will be present at Lovejoy Schools June 28 and June 29, 2013 to make digital copies of your family photos and video your elders. This information will be uploaded to our interactive website that is being built. YOUR FAMILY HISTORY will be archived on the backbone of University of Illinois. This will preserve your FAMILY HISTORY for many years to come. Please place photos along with a brief narrative of the first ancestor in your family to migrate to Brooklyn, Illinois, their names, place they migrated from and the year of migration. Any details you might want to include such as employment, family stories, etc. will help generations to come, searching their family history.
