Greetings Earth Family, I’m happy and confused.. Theres been a boost in downloads for some of my songs over the past couple months, songs that were stagnant in the download department for a while. No significant promoting has been done on my part, none in the case of the specific songs being downloaded. So, if anyone out there reading this has had any part to play in this recent and continuing boost, a warm and heartfelt thanks is due! Youre awesome! This one in particular has been gaining the most (the Youtube view count doesnt speak for it though): https://youtube/watch?v=a8rKy9BBcpk The fact that Christmas is quickly approaching, and that the album cover depicts an adapted image of Jesus could have some part to play.. But who really knows? Either way, it still remains as one of my most personal and meaningful songs to date. Next, after 19-how-long I’ve finally finished working on a New Song with what I feel has taken me back to my fundamental life and musical aspirations that somehow became a little hazy for a while.. Something with a grounded and conscious message. My recently ended public/musical quieting has brought some perspective back to me and taken my head out of the cloud that my former minor boost in popularity during 2009-2012 provided. Make no mistake: no regrets on my part. But there are just things Id like to do differently, and mannerisms that Id like to retract back to in light of solid reminders of where certain lifestyle choices can lead to. know that I stand behind all of my songs as an honest and creative expression of my life experiences. But, I have removed certain elements from the public eye, because those elements derail more than benefit the perception others can build of who I am, and which also no longer reflects my present personal development. I made the decision decades ago to do my best to give the world my best, Ive stumbled and strayed plenty, but thankfully, Im constantly rechecking myself upon that path once again. The video for the new song One Destiny will feature footage taken in Guyana, Suriname, and Trinidad & Tobago. The song represents an age-old underlying message that encourages consideration and personal changes. Changes which can be taken towards effectively creating positive societal developments that desperately need to be addressed regarding longstanding dilemmas (most importantly, high rates of suicide) challenging the people of the aforementioned nations, but still also relevant to people of all nationalities. I aim to have the song and video released early in the New Year, and hope the message resonates amongst all with love and a true essence of what it means to be a global community/family.
