Greetings Greater Madison. I am hoping that we can have a conversation with you to get you involved with our new Scholars Academy. We have been given this great opportunity - the Academy - to invest in our children who are struggling the most but aspiring to be the greatest in our schools. Your presence in their classrooms, schools and lives would be such a huge benefit and inspiration to them, and will be so important to their growth and development as students, and as young men and women. It was professionals, parents, college students and caring people like you who took the time to encourage me and show me the way that helped push me along to what I do today. I know you are called upon to do a lot in our community and that you are requested to be in many places, but if we can get you involved in this project in any way, I would be forever grateful. Our children will succeed not because of the Urban League, but because of the many positive people we bring them into contact with who will inspire them to persist, think big, work hard and keep moving - forward.
