Greetings Holy Temple Christian Academy Alumni! We cordially invite you to attend our first Holy Temple Christian Academy Alumni Scholarship Foundation Celebration. The event will be held at The Holy Temple Church of Christ, 439-12th Street SE, WDC 20003 on March 29, 2015 at 4:00 pm. This will be sponsored by the following: Joseph and Roberta Weathers Scholarship Fund, former students and educators of HTCA, and the church family of our beloved founder Bishop Joseph Weathers and current Pastor, Elder David Myrick Sr. One of Bishop Weather’s favorite mottos was “After the Holy Ghost is your family and education”. In continuance of his doctrine and legacy for education, we are asking all former teachers, administrative staff, students, vendors and parents of his students to take part in celebrating his stance on the importance of education. With that said, the committee is requesting all former choir members’ to sing, former administration, faculty to speak, and parents of former students to share their testimonies of how HTCA helped cultivate their growth and success. Sadly, many of the students and faculty are now deceased or reside in other states. However, we are asking for those unable to attend to either write a letter, record an audio/video/picture of their experience at Holy Temple. If any of you would like to sing, liturgical dance, speak, or present presentations, please inform the committee as soon as possible. There will be ongoing information regarding this event, as well as postings via Facebook and Instagram on both HTCA and HTC webpages.
