Peace and blessings and live long and prosper! I looked at my coochie in the mirror. My yeast infection was irritating me…it was a calling, so I decided to look at my vagina in the mirror. Wow! Surely it’s been awhile since I’ve done this, can’t remember…time shifts, time slips. This menopausal butch dyke is changing into a crone! The grey hairs and the subtle changes. New folds add layers to my life story. The story of a womon who walks the streets like a black man…hurricane flashes and all. Which bathroom do I run to, to empty my blood filled womb? My womb that is bleeding out a life of journeys, loves, traumas, fears, joy, rage…blood curdling rage. Oh…so you don’t see me? You can’t smell this blood like I do. I pass these clots of unborn dreams. You don’t see my breasts that shrink and then swell under my tank t-shirt. Nipples big, plump and brown red. I am more a womon, than I’ve ever been before... appreciating the journey…remembering… celebrating.
