Greetings Medical Students Worldwide The Center for Indonesian Medical Students Activities and Gadjah Mada University gladly invites you to join up in our International Summer Course program: Gadjah Mada Medical Summer Course (GAMAMORSE) 2014 Infectious and Neglected Tropical Diseases August 3rd– August 14th, 2014 In Yogyakarta, Indonesia In this course, you will be brought to learn in a comprehensive course about NTDs or Neglected Tropical Diseases, a group of chronic disabling diseases affecting more than 1 billion worldwide, but still largely OVERLOOKED The learning materials itself will be delivered in 5 kinds of learning methods: 1. Interactive Lectures 2. Practical Sessions 3. Tutorial Session 4. Society and Environment Observation 5. Community Outreach and Counseling Aside of that, we will also prepare for you, leisure and cultural activities, here in Yogyakarta, one of the major cities in Indonesia, known with its cultural and historical richness. Some of the examples of these activities are: 1. Visiting Borobudur Temple, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site 2. Visiting Prambanan Temple, also one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site 3. Visiting the KratonNgayogyakartaHadiningrat, or the Yogyakarta Sultanate Palace 4. Homestay in a Vacational Village, to interact with the community and enjoy the beautiful nature of Yogyakarta 5.
