Greetings! The Writing Center Is On The Move! The Following Upcoming Events Will Take Place This Month and Next Month: 1. Publishing Your First Novel In Honor of Novembers National Novel Writing Month Workshop, which begins Nov. 1, 2014. We will meet every Thursday at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the library, room 117, in person and/or online to begin the challenge of writing for 30 days towards your first book publication! Publishers will be available to review your rough drafts at the end of November to work towards publication. We will provide the blueprint in advance to help guide you through the writing process and organizing the structure of your first novel. 2. Rethinking Literacy, Language, and Writing Across The Curriculum in the Writing Center and Beyond Lecture Series, will kick off next Tuesday, October 28, 2014-- beginning with award winning author, Dr. David Kirkland, author of A Search Past Silence: The Litearcy of Young Black Men; he reigns from NYU, which will take place Oct. 28, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Dixon Auditorium, and more! Come meet, greet, become inspired, and grab a copy of his signed, award winning book! 3. Today at 3:00 p.m. Ms. Taelor Clay will provide an exciting workshop on Creating Your First Digital Documentary in the library, room 117, today at 3:00 p.m. 4.
