Greetings and Salutations Polaricans!! Baron Tieberius here to announce my formal candidacy for becoming your Prince, and to be running with me as my Regent is Lady Squire Cassi Sunshine, current Regent of the Mists of the Dawn. We are both very confident about running this reign together. Cassi solidifies that Arts and Sciences will be well in hand, here is what she has to say: Hi, I am Cassi Sunshine and I am the current regent for Mists of The Dawn. I am really excited about this position and really look forward to encouraging Arts & Sciences in our Principality. Aside from my current role as park regent, I have also held the position of PM successfully at our park. In my mundane life I have had and are currently a part of many leadership positions, which include, but are not limited to, many seasons as head equine camp counselor, Girl Scout team leader, Boy Scout team leader, Breast Cancer 3-day team captain, and much more. All of these positions involve many hours planning, executing, and supervising activities and people. A big part of this reign for A&S is having NO specific theme. I dont want people to feel constrained by specific guidelines for Art, you should be able to pull your creativity from all corners of your mind. As your regent I am going to also encourage everyone to be open about their A&S, I want you guys to feel comfortable and free to ask me questions, I am here to help. As for me, I have been playing Amtgard for a little more than a year and a half and looking forward to many more years to come. In the short time that I have been playing, I have had the Privilege to watch Crimson Circle join Polaris and grow from a Shire into a Barony. Im proud to have held office at the park level for most of my career in Amtgard. I currently serve as the Baron of Crimson Circle and a current member of the Polaris Board of Directors. I am honored to help build Polaris into a Kingdom from every aspect that I can. On a personal level, I am running not for me, not for fame, but for the members of Polaris. I feel that, even though new, I will help us grow into what we are capable of becoming. Anyone who doesnt believe me or thinks I am unqualified, when I come to your park, just talk to me. I do not feel you will be disappointed. I want you all to feel comfortable coming to me with your accomplishments and concerns not only as your prince but as your friend. If elected to be your Prince I intend to do what needs to be done. First, which is already a work in progress, establishing the Non-Profit Status with our Board of Directors. Second, to complete the Pre-bid package which must be accomplished by the end of the Reign. I will have the bid package sorted out and ready to present, with the help of all the leadership, the B.O.D. and the vets who would like to assist. Third, I feel travel should be limited through the start of the next reign. However, I will promote travel when the Good Year begins. I will do everything in my power to get everyone motivated for The Year That Matters. At the start of the good year, I will go to the extent of driving additional car loads of people myself if need be. The leaders prior to me did an amazing job raising funds for travel, if elected, I will not allow those efforts to go to waste. As stated on our pages description, which says it better than I ever could; “We are the Principality of Polaris. Together we will form a new Kingdom in the Midwest to help Amtgard grow and become better as a whole. For You. For Me. For Polaris.
