Greetings everyone! For yall whove followed my career from self untitled..., and even those who maybe just caught wind after ...one rifle per family. or Sun Of A Gun, you know that I do this for just enough of a check to pay rent and continue working in the community in hopes of creating some sort of impact toward social change. Because of that, Ive never opened up big indie budgets to put things out in order to keep control of the content and direction of the work; and while Beatrock Music is one of the greatest labels to make music with, its still an artist run label that functions as a collective - which requires us to use our resources wisely as we all share the responsibility of pushing the label and keeping it fruitful. For this new album, Party Worker, Im tackling it differently than Ive done it in the past. Im opening up the process of creation for all my supporters to see and get involved with. Im doing that by taking yall along with me as I look for inspiration - by releasing 3 webisode installments called, The Worker Series. Im also going to live video streaming sessions from the recording studio and on the road. Were calling these video streams Work Parties. Youll be able to interact with DJ Phatrick (whos engineering and mixing the album) and I as we piece together a 13-song album, with a Party Worker yearbook, that hopes to highlight the growing economic gap between the haves and the have nots throughout the world, but more specifically in communities throughout the US that mirror my own, Los Angeles. None of the products manufactured for this Kickstarter will ONLY be available to Kickstarter supporters, so dont wait in hopes that youll catch it at a store somewhere - not going to happen.
