Greetings for Saturday, March 15, 2014 day 11 of Lent and United Prayer for our Elected Officials and Spiritual Leaders Scripture for today comes from the book of 2 Peter 1:10, 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: commentary While “GOD’s” choice of the elect is firm and certain in “GOD” it may not always be obvious to the individual Christian. Assurance of “GOD’s” call comes through the evidence of the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives as well as through the internal testimony of the Spirit in our hearts. “GOD’s” promise of salvation is to those with a genuine, persevering faith. True faith perseveres to the end and will inevitably bear fruit. Continue to Pray with faith don’t give up and watch change happen right before your eyes. “LORD GOD” may you bless our Elected officials and Spiritual Leaders, that they may humble themselves before You “LORD GOD” to have Compassion and understanding, for their fellowman, that they understand You have Blessed them to be in these positions of authority, that they may use their power wisely “LORD GOD” may You heal our country as a whole, may we reflect on “LORD JESUS” Sacrifice for us. Bless us to search within ourselves how to improve as Christians Amen!!!
