Greetings from Costa Rica, We have come to the end of our first full day here in Puerto Viejo Costa Rica. This morning we had a delicious breakfast of eggs, rice & beans and fruit. We attended worship in the community here at Agape Methodist Church. The worship was wonderful. Many of the students commented on how great the singing and full band was. There was lots of energy and passion for God in the service. Today was family worship and centered around honoring the family. The pastor spoke about how God is the center of our family. We were introduced and received with open arms from the community. The youth enjoyed the children, the dancing & flag twirling kids in worship. After worship we returned to Hotel El Bambu for lunch. Then in between all the rain today (it is the rainforest) we went on a 1 1/2 hr boart tour up the river. We saw exotic birds, bats, lizards, alligators and even monkeys. It was a great time for all. The rainforest here in Costa Rica is so beautiful. This evening we worked at getting ready for VBS for tomorrow and learned all our parts. We packed the supplies and got organized. We closed in a wonderful time with some of the youth leading us in worship and sharing a devotional. We were encouraged to encourage and help each other. They did a fabulous job. Tomorrow we have a early wake up and will be going to our first day of construction on the clinic. We are not too sure yet what exactly we will be doing. I saw the clinic today. It does have walls and a roof, but there looks to be still more concrete work to be done. Everyone is Wellington the team. Continue to pray for the mission. Pray as we work hard tomorrow, play with children and teach them bible stories. Pray that our team continues to bond as we grow closer to each other and rely more and more on Christ.
